Nothing much if we talk about the original export and import utilities. However, Oracle 10g offers Data Pump export and import tools which
Oracle
have vastly improved performance and greatly enhanced functionality, such as restartability, flexible object selection, and better monitoring and control of export and import jobs. Because of these valuable improvements, Oracle recommends that you use these new Data Pump Export and Import clients rather than the original Export (exp) and Import (imp) clients.

Is that what you have in mind?

Given the questions already posted by OP, I think he didn't have anything in mind and is just unable to search and read the documentation.
