Hi

I am trying to desc a table which I know is existing by querying the user_tables and it has a status of Valid.

The thing is it just hangs and does nothing.
I have tried selecting , truncating , deleting , dropping the table but it just hangs in all the operation.

Is the table gone corrupt.

Can you please tell me how I can overcome this situation.

Post your Oracle version (4 decimals, both client and server sides), copy and paste your SQL*Plus session from start to "hang".
