Why database is starting up auto ? [message #297391]

dear all
installing oracle 10g whenever i shutdown the database and also shutdown my pc, the database is found started at the next start of the pc. Why its happening?

Have a look at Oracle services, you'll see that they are in auto start mode.

The services could be set to "auto". Set them to manual.

do oracle services mean the services mentioned in services.msc?
