Hello,
I am currently connecting to an oracle 10g XE database over a network with one of three ethernet ports on my PC.
The other two ethernet ports are not needed to connect to oracle, and they need to be plugged in / unplugged while oracle is running.
The problem I have, is when I unplug either of the two ports that aren't even connected to the network that the oracle 10g XE server is on, I get the ORA-12571 packet failure error.
Is there any way to specify that I only want oracle to look at the one ethernet port, so I can do whatever with the other two without affecting Oracle?
Thank you for any help you can offer,
Deeder

Hello,
Thanks for the response.
Do you mean disable them in Oracle? If so, how could I do that, or where could I find how to do that?
Otherwise, I cannot disable them in Windows, because I am using them for non-oracle purposes.
Thank You,
Deeder
