What API should we use to make the Forms 6i to connect to Sybase DB , is any API available in Forms itself or whether we have to install it from anywhere else. Could anyone share relevant information, with sample coding showing Forms 6i connect with Sybase DB?

Can you connect to your Sybase database via ODBC? If so, use that connection for Forms.
Alternatively, look at Note:437696.1 on Metalink "How to Setup DG4SYBS (Oracle Database Gateway for Sybase) Release 11 on Linux".
