Guys,
I face a daunting task. I am assigned the dba task and am a fresh certified associate.
on one computer is the database installed and the other computer is the application server installed.
My developers are getting 12560 error TNS protocol adapter error which means that there is some problem in the tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora. They are not able to acess the database. How to copy this from the database home to the application server home as both are on different computers. Or am I looking at the whole thing from a different angle
Thanks in adavnce

Thanks for the reply
Yes I am able to connect to the database. Maybe I am not able to understant the setup.
The database is hosted on a computer and I able to work on it. Now the contact at the office says that the application server is hosted on the other computer (right beside the database). What does this mean?
Any good source where I can get details on topic related to his one.
Thanks for your time
