I have forms 9i compiler.
It gives me error while compiling as
"FRM:18108 failed to load following objects."

But If build a simple form in 6i without using any procedure then it compiles & run on application server(web).

so can u tell me whats the exact solution

Okay .. so you have the compiler on yoru server but you don't have 9i develoepr suite on your PC. Well, you still should have the Developer on your PC for fixing bugs.

You need to compile the libraries and reference forms before compiling the other forms.

Take a look at this page. Check what's written in "Forms Migration Assistant ZIP TAR - Wizard Based version of assistant for migration Forms6i to Oracle9i Forms"; perhaps you'll find it useful.

But, there it is ...
Quote:
Oracle Application Server 10g (Contains Forms and Reports 9.0.4)
The "real" 9i was 9.0.2, but - as far as I can tell - it isn't available any more.

By the way, why are you migrating to a desupported version? Why wouldn't you go directly to 10g?

P.S. You might, though, try to contact Oracle Support at Metalink and ask for help; I'm not sure they still distribute desupported software, but ... won't cost much to ask, I guess.

Well, I want to convert in 9i because of mine old application is in Oracle 6i. I have to convert that desktop application in web based.
And as far I heard, I have to change lots of code of 6i to convert into 10g ,is it correct?
So if i convert into 9i then new development will be done in Java.

Plz do reply.....

I don't believe that there is any more work in going to 10g than there was in going to 9i.
