Kindly help me in upgrading the forms 6.0.5.0.2 version to 6.0.8.8.0 which is the prerequisite version for upgrading to forms 6.0.8.26 (patch 17).

Please suggest me the appropriate patch number for patch 2 which will help me in upgrading to 6.0.8.8.0.

FYI I am trying to connect to Oracle 10g Rel 2.0.

Why don't you just install Forms 6i?

There is a large (56M) patch for Forms 6 to get you to 6.0.5.35 (Patchset 7) and it can be obtained through Metalink via doing the search:
Product : Developer Forms
Release : Developer 6.0
Patch Type : Any
Priority : Any
then just pull down the biggest patch.

Thanks David. I downloaded and installed the patch 7 which has helped me to upgrade to 6.0.5.35.3.

After this please guide me to upgrade to 6.0.8.8.0 by suggesting the requisite patch. Since i want to move to 6.0.8.26 (patch 17).

I don't know whether you can 'patch' from Forms 6.0 to Forms 6i.

Try the previous search using Release : Developer 6i.

Alternatively, search for Developer 6i then sort by size descending and you can get Forms 6i Patchset 2 which is called Forms 6i Release 2 and start from that. Once installed you can get Patch 17 which is about half way down the page (113M).

See if Patch 17 will go over Forms 6 or whether you need to install Forms 6i Release 2 first.
