Hi,

Asset Summary,01042008 09:17:08,23975

this is the header of the csv file.
I have to get the date and put it in a table in the mm/dd/yyyy format.(the format in the table is mmddyyyy).using sqlloader.
In control file, how can I get it?


Please advice.

Date datatype doesn't have a format, you choose the format when you query the value.

How can I read that date from the header?
I am new to use the control files.

And you'll remain "new" unless you start creating control files on your own. Do the initial effort, write you own version and - if it doesn't work, come back.

I am continuing my teammate's work.
The control files are already there. I have to modify it.
