Hi,
we have sales orders and wip jobs. both can pick from all subinventories defined. sometimes we purchase components specifically for a WIP job so we raise a PO specifically for the wip job and place the WIP job number on the DFF. when we receive these items we would like them to be "reserved" for the WIP job or we would like the receving/deliver transactions to trigger a wip component issue into the job. if we receive them into our subinventories, they may be reserved against sales orders impeding us to complete the WIP job!
any ideas how to handle this requirement? is there any workflow we could modify to handle this? how about any business event?
we are not using projects or planning (mrp/ascp)
