Hello All,

I'm quiet perplexed with the Rollback segments . Can you help me out in dealing with Rollback segments, the modes of RBS and the optimal usage of RBS . Please let me know if there is any article on RBS .

Whats your oracle version?
WHy worry about rollback segments when we have oracle managed undo tablespaces.

Hello,

My Oracle version is Oracle 10g release 2. I know that In 10g we have the UNDO Tablespace. But I want to have what are those RBS and all the different modes of RBS .
And also difference between RBS/UNDO .

The main difference is that you don't to care how to size or handle them all is done by Oracle.
You just have to size your undo tablespace and undo_retention parameter.
