Hii all
i want to install oracle developer 10g on windows vista
does windows vista needs other version that the ordinary version of oracle developer 10g
or this ordinary version can work on windows vista

I don't know the answer but are you sure this is not stated in the page where you downloaded or readme file included in the package?

yes, i found on oracle site this version of oracle developer 10g
and here is the link
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ids/htdocs/101202winsoft.html

they says "developer 10g for microsoft windows"
does this means it supports vista

N.B i download this version for windows xp and works fine
does this mean it will work fine on vista

In order to find out whether an Oracle product is certified with a certain operating system, check the Oracle's certification matrices.

Unless I'm wrong, Developer Suite isn't certified with MS Windows Vista (yet).

yes
Developer Suite isn't certified with MS Windows Vista (yet).
I installed but it is not working with windows vista .

Hi,

i already Installed Oracle Developer 10g On Vista SP1 ..

at first installation fail, i change the parameter in ORAPARAM.INI installation directory inside cd ( OF course i copied the cd to my hard disk)..

then the installation done successfully :

these are the steps:

1- copy the developer 10g Cd1 in to local directory :

2- go to directory  install and open oraparam.ini 

3- go to line where [Certified Versions]
Windows=5.0,5.1,5.2 and add  6.0

it will look like   [Certified Versions] Windows=5.0,5.1,5.2,6.0

4- save the file .

5- run the installer in windows xp compatibility mode ...

thats all

To be able to install using a trick does not mean it will work.
