1. What is reverse engineering?
Oracle Designer Reverse engineering allows you to capture existing Physical Database Designs (All database objects) thru a SQL*Net or ODBC connection. In addition, you may capture Oracle Developer Forms, Reports, and Libraries. Once the DB is in the Oracle Designer Repository, you may perform a Table to Entity retrofit and begin re-engineering the existing database design.
2. Why use reverse Engineering?
a. Capture existing system details
b. Migrate from DB2 to Oracle.
