Hi,

We are working on 11.5.10.2 version. We found a strange problem. Though the Items are present in MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS. SEGMENT1 Column, these could not be queried from the front end.

We are unable to query the item in Master Inventory organization nor in the Child orgs. These happens only for some item numbers.

What could be the possible reasons?

The error is similar to when an item is not defined in the system (APP_FND-00906)

Anyhow, I have solved the issue. It is caused b'cos of the Value set definition attatched to the SYSTEM ITEMS flexfield
The valueset was defined as to use UPPER CASE ONLY .

Hope this meek solution can be used !!!
