On Oracle 10g with DB_Block_Size=8K
Tablespace contains one datafile of size 10GB also Autoextend enabled increase of 500MB .
When does the file gets autoextended.Currently 96% of datafile is full.Is there a threshold when the autoextended occurs or it extends only when the datafile is 100% full.

File is extended when it is needed that is when more space than currently available is asked.
