I am a junior Oracle DBA having 1.5 yrs experience.Now I am working in a reputed company in India.I wish to work abroad in order to accelarate my career growth.Plz help me

Total Experience in Oracle Technologies--1.5yrs

1.Oracle 10G DBA----------1.5yrs
2.Data Modelling(Erwin)----1.5yrs
3.PL/SQL Programming-------1.5yrs
4.Unix---------------------0.5yrs
5.OCA Certfication in Oracle 10G

There are more specialist websites on this issue but here's what I think. Less than 2 years of hands on experience is not very much. At least, it is not enough to sell yourself as a senior level developer. Then there's the myth about 'working abroad'. What were you looking at? What do you consider abroad? And why would you think it would "accelerate your career"?

It is true. All your career acceleration will depend on the work environment. It doesn't matter whether it is India, UK, USA or Singapore.

I suggest if you want to 'accelerate your career', look for challenging projects and not places.

I think that if you can't find in India challenging projects you should move abroad.
I think you should work for better benefits and earnings (and challenging projects makes you a pro)
