I think coaching institutes are of very little use. They provide you a single machine sharable between two users. And it also a five day training per exam.
How much can you grasp in five days?

Self study is the best study.Of course you will have to do self study even if you join any institute but the money they demand is not worth the coaching they provide.
But yes if you want to do OCP then one paper (any)is mandatory to be done through a certified oracle training institute.Normally people clear the first three papers by there own and go for coaching for the PT paper. Start learning SQL. BPB publication biju thomas guide is a good book for SQL exam.

Thats my own personal view.
Experts please give inputs.
