Can view the query from Edit Plus but not from Oracle Forms 10g [message #273202]

Hi All,

There is Record Group of type static hence there is no query shown in the .fmb file when opened from Oracle Forms.
But when i open this .fmb file from Edit Plus i can view the query inside it.
Can anyone please why is this? how do i view the query from the Oracle Forms

What made you think that Oracle Forms does not store your static record group in a 'select' statement?

Hi David,

I know this is really strange! but its true.
From the Oracle Forms i cannot view query(Static record group)
but if i open the same form in Edit plus i can view the query.
I even tried to create a .txt file even there its not present.

I don't consider it to be strange that Oracle decided to store a static record group as a 'select' statement. It means that a static and dynamic record group would be handled in a similar fashion at run time.

Have a look at FormsTool. A link to it is in the FAQ.
