Most solutions will require a print from your browser to your selected output file format. This is common for Adobe PDF and Microsoft MDI format. My IE7 browser seems to have MDI driver already installed and it support TIFF as and alternate output format.

Many free converter programs exist, but they piggy-back onto existing file format print drivers and a common shortcoming is that the print drivers themsleves can pop up dialog boxes requiring manual intervention (page size warnings or whatever). When this happens the conversion process typically hangs - waiting for manual intervention.
