If i remove all the links in Run Level 3 and add only
network and orastart script. Will it work properly or please advise me. Actually I want to run Only Oracle 9i Database nothing else. I have networked environment.

Dear Michel,
U did not understand me. I have not any problem regarding installation. My question is regarding Post installation.
I want to use my machine to run Oracle DB only.
I want to stop all other services that are not necessary.
Pls send me the list that what services are necessary to run Oracle DB.

Yes Dear Michel,
Pls clear to me on which point u want to try to focus.
On the production database server with minimal resources I want to run only the services that r necessary to functioning the DB server properly. Pls come on this point...... Pls

By default Linux srart all the scripts which are located in RunLevel.
like S34name etc.....Understand.
For Michel,
I have oracle 9i and Enterprise Linux (more than 2000 user networked envirnment and much more OLTP Database.)

Yes this is exactly I have come to know..
But I have not the list right now ...
But u can see it in run level 3
/etc/rc3.d/all symbolic links starting with S00xxxxx.

Sir,
I m new and beginer in this OS.
Sir if u expert in it then please help me.
I want to stop all deamons that are not necessary for the function of the server which is only Database Server.
I have come to know many of packages open ports on the system and provide path for hackers like rssh......
Why not I should stop all deamons....
Indeed u r right thay did not use resources of the server but may be responsible for security holes .......

Dear if womeone have no firewall than......
However i think beleive we should run only those processes that we are needed.
Like we have no need to run sendmail and squid and kudzu and ......
