Dear Members,

We have customized standard purchase order report.
We have pre-printed stationary on which this report is being printed.
Here I have one problem.
The whole layout is moving down on each page.
On the first page it is at the correct position.
On the second page the layout is moved bit down.
On the third page the layout is moved more down and so on.
I kindly request you all to please help me on this regard as it is a matter of urgency.
Waiting for your valuable replies.

Arun its not very clear from your message what you mean by saying that the report layout is moving?

It will be difficult for the members to help you out unless we know the report structure.

If you are customising some standard report atleast mention the name of the report which will help the memebers who would like help you out in this issue.

Thanks,
mic

Dear Members,

Thanks a lot for your reply but my problem is not yet solved.

I will describe my problem in more detail.

Actually we have customized "Printed Purchase Order Report" in such a way that it will print all our necessary information on a pre printed stationary.

When we print the report it is printed as follows:

________________________________________________________________

<Line Num> <Page1>

1. Local Purchase Order
2..................................
3..................................
.
.
.
.

----------------------------------------------------------------

<Line Num> <Page2>

1.
2. Local Purchase Order
3..........................
4.............................
..
..
..
---------------------------------------------------------------

<Line Num> <Page3>

1.
2.
3. Local Purchase Order
4....................
5......................
...
...
...
--------------------------------------------------------------

Note :Here I have mentioned <Line Num> and <Page Num> just for reference. It doesnt appear in the report.

Now my problem here is when we give a print out of for instance 10 Purchase Orders then each time a purchase order is printed the layout is moving down on the page.

In our example let us take I have given a printout of 3 purchase orders.

Then as illustrated in the above figure my first po is printed on line 1 which is correct.
The second po is printed on line 2 instead of line 1.(Here my layout is moved bit down)
The third po is printed on line 3 instead of line 1.(Here my layout is moved more down)

This is my problem.

I will be greatly thankful to the members if they help me in this regard.

Waiting for your valuable replies.

Regards,
Arun.

Hi there,
I would like to know whether you are using Oracle Applications to print this report ? If yes then you have to
modify the Printer Driver definition specific to your printer.

Example:
a) If you are using HPLJ4 printer (HP Laser Jet printer)
b) Check which Printer driver is used for your report using
concurrent program definition screen.
c) Goto the Printer Driver definition from System Administration.
Query the printer driver definition used for your report.
Change the number of lines printed per page command and test
it out, if this doesn't work check number of lines printed
per inch command.

To identify this "number of lines printed per page" command you
have to have your Printer specific Command documentation, using that you can find it out.

Hope this helps you.

Cheers,
Sridhar
