Hello! I am telling my problem, Please help if anybody know the solution.

My oracle 10g database is located on remote PC. (Application server is not present) Person on client PC, generates excel sheet. I want to develope the client server application or web application (if possible because application server not present.) which will have GUI on client side. Application should take excel sheet as input and should update the database on remote PC using this sheet.

Is It possible using oracle forms? Is oracle form support socket programming?
Please help me out.

Is socket progrmming posssible in following conditions?
Database :- Oracle 10g (on remote PC)

Forms version:- 6i

If you do not have an Application Server running on the database machine and you wish to use Forms then you would need to run the Developer Server. The Form can be invoked from another PC by using the URL that addresses this DS machine.

Concerning socket programming, what did you have in mind?

Try googling 'socket Oracle forms'.
