Hi Everybody,
I am writing this on behalf of my DBA so some of the lingo may be off. We are running into an issue with a stored proc in Oracle 10Gb. In Oracle 10Gb, the $PATH variable seems to be nulled out ( it is a security precaution Oracle is doing ). When the stored proc runs, it fails because some commands in the path can not be found and are not being executed. How do we get a stored proc to read the PATH variable ( or another other variable ) of the user being logged in and executing the script which runs the stored proc ? This is an urgent issue . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
