Thanks ,Michel.
I met this word from Tom's <EXPERT ONE ON ONE 9i and 10g programming techniques and solutins>
He said,in ASSM,oracle maintains a low HWM and a HWM,when does a FTS,oracle will read blocks under the low HMW directly, the blocks between low HWM and HWM,oracle will references some info from the ASSM bitmap to conferm which blocks should be read......
I am very confuse with this, why there is a low hwm and what it used for?
Regards!
Alan
