hello,
We had the serial number for Journal Voucher setup to be entered manually.
Is there anyway that we can change it to be generated automatically by the system. Note that all the past vouchers have manually entered numbers so what are the consequences of the change and from where can we do this change?

Hi,
You can go to GL > Setup option & go to document sequences. Find existing Document Category & put end date so ur manually number will not generated & create new document sequnce with use of same category & mention new document numbering sequnce with status Automatic... then ur sequnce will work auto...
Plz do all these things on TEST instance only & apply on Live or PROD. instance. DON'T USE ADIMIN LOGIN FOR CREATING SEQUENCE.
