Create the 'odbc' link and use it. Sorry, unless you can let us know what problem you are having with Forms and ODBC there is nothing else to say other than read the help screens for setting up a new ODBC link and then adding it to the tnsnames.ora file. Use SQL*Plus to test the odbc link.

create an ODBC connection on the MS SQL server.
when you log in from forms use...

USERNAME > (from your SQL server)
PASSWORD > (from your SQL server)
DATABASE > odbc:(odbcname)

However, you have to have OCA installed with your FOrms.
