HELLO ALL...

I WANT TO PASTE TEXT FROM WORD OR NOTEPAD TO THE EDITOR USED IN THE FROMS... IT IS NOT ACCEPTING THAT TEXT...IS? THERE ANY KIND OF TECHNIQUE TO PERFORM THAT task....

Please, don't use all capitals when posting on OraFAQ Forum.

What do you mean "it is not accepting that text"? I've just tried it:
- in MS Word, I selected several lines of text and pressed <Ctrl + C>
- in Forms Builder, I opened the WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger and pasted previously selected text using <Ctrl + V>

Everything worked as expected. How did you do that?

Actually i am using editor in form 6i... i want to paste some text from notepad or word document to that editor in from builder.... it is not accepting that text from outside of form builder..

Does it mean that <Ctrl + C> / <Ctrl + V> combination doesn't work? Did you try to paste text using Edit menu and selecting "Paste" in there?

I can't try it myself as I don't have Developer Suite 6i, sorry.

I have two diffrent applications
1 .A Word document with some text on it...
2.A form builder ... with a text field..

I want to insert text from that text document to field of from builder.. it is not accepting that text..
plz try it..help me

Do you want the form to read the word document or to permit you to paste text copied from the word document into the form field?

If the first then search this forum for 'ole word'. If the second then verify that the form item has 'insert allowed' set to 'yes' and 'update allowed' set to 'yes'.
