Hello sir
There is any method to fastup the export utility for server and clients side
> we using export utility for daily data backups
>The export backup seems very slow in client machine when compare to server side
Please give me the suggestion to fastup the export utility both in server side and client side
Hint:
-->server in redhat linuxlinux (3.2) and client in windows 2000
-->oracle version 9.2.0.7.0
-->command we use for export
>exp system/test@test file=testexp.exp filesize=2048m grant=yes log=test.log
-->OS have enough free space
-Thanx in advance.

The only way to speed it up is to export on the server or get a much faster and closer distance between the client and server. Not to sound sarcastic, but that is the only way.
You might want to futz around with BUFFER and RECORDLENGTH parameters, but I am just giving the answer for the same method of export done on a client vs. server.
And you do know that an export is not a valid backup, right?
