hi gurus,

actually i have a form6i application in which i am giving a text box and a button ,
now what i want is to open a pdf file from application..

in this suppose my all pdf file are saved at the location "C:\important" .

now i am giving a facility to the user to enter any name of the file in the text box ehic is given in the application ....

let us say "123" so the file is having the path "C:\important\123.pdf" ...

now when i press a button press in the appliction
"file should be search in OS and open it for the user in a abode reader"....

if the file not found then through an error to user that
"file not selected"

Search this forum for 'open pdf'. Basically, you can use the 'host' or 'client_host' commands. This depends where the pdf file resides.

In a trigger; I chose a push button.
