Hi friends

Excuse for my English. In my contry the oficial language is Spanish.

I am new on the group, I live in Ecuador (South America). Please help me in this situation:

I have created a timer control in my forms 10g but I was reading a performance manual about it and recomended change it for a self contained java bean. I download a sample and built in my forms, but this jave bean use sysdate variable. I thing the roundtrips not reduce by use sysdate variable. There is another alternative for save roundtrips on the network instead create timer.

Tanks so much.

If the Java bean only accesses 'sysdate' once then that is okay.

Have you looked at the 'clock' that is available through the Oracle Forms web site?
