Hi Dears
I m getting the following error when i startup the datbase
Actually my System goes down abnormally after that i m geeting the error while i startup the database
ORA-00333: redo log read error block 2 count 8192
How can i recover the database.
I have no backup
O/s : Linux
Database : 10g release 1
Kindly suggest
It's not urgent at all. No way, no how.

And I would also suggest :
No matter what you do, make a backup of all the data files NOW, before you do anything else that might make things worse.
Since there are hundreds of different szenarios depending on your version / os / general setup there is no general "step by step procedure" that one can follow.
The documentation Michel posted is the best there is for this case.

dear m
i have taken the backup of all the db files,
your document is excellent but it did'nt help me out because in all examples either the database shoude be in the archive mode or if it is in noarchiving mode then all the examples suggest to restore consistent databse but in my scenerio i don't have any cold backup to restore any of my database.
so please suggest some pure clarification for this problem.

I have tried alter datababe clear logfile....
but it shows error ora-01624 log 1 needed for crash recovery... and
Ora - 00312
