Can the user SYS and/or SYSTEM change their own password using the ALTER USER username IDENTIFIED BY newpassword? Can we do it anytime during the day while users are on?

hi,

yes the user SYS and/or SYSTEM can change their own password using the ALTER USER username IDENTIFIED BY newpassword.

you can do it anytime
