Hello,
Just now I wanted to read up on different options for doing *drumroll* pivot queries.
The problem I encountered when searching for that was that about 95% of the search results were actually just locked 'search for "pivot"' topics.
Is there any possibility to exclude locked topics from the search result?

Sure. Just addWHERE topic_locked IS NOT NULL
Just kidding, of course ... but true, there are so many "Search for it! (+ lock, eventually)" answers there, especially in the Newbies Forum. It makes searching a frustrating business sometimes.
However, there's a workaround: search for "pivot" in the Newbies Forum, use "Filter by user" (choose one among Maaher, Frank, rleishman, Michel Cadot, joy division, JRowbottom, Barbara Boehmer, William Robertson etc.) and, finally, "Sort results by date in ASCENDING order" (as the most recent posts are of the "search for it" type).
