Hi, i am very new with oracle.
I know nothing about oracle.
I did read some articles about oracle, but it cant help.

Im supposed to prepare a monthly backup for Payroll System at my workplace, but i dunno what should i do.
What is the 1st step?
Sumbody please help me.

Obviously you did NOT read the posting guidelines as found in the #1 STICKY post at the top of this forum.

You should tell your manager that they should hire somebody who knows about Oracle than just how to spell it.

You know nothing about Oracle, yet your company is putting you in charge of the Payroll Backups, scary.

I agree with anacedent and MarcL.
Tell your manager you can't be held responsible in case of an error. If they take their data serious, they should send you to a DBA course and hire someone until you are ready to take over.
Don't fool yourself or your manager, or you _will_ be sorry, in case things go wrong...
