Hello all,

We have a 2 node rac(10g) and on another server we have installed 10g Grid Control. The machines are living in harmony. All servers are Solaris 10 SPARC 64bit.

Now we are planning to relocate the Grid Server from one city to another and the whole drama would play for 3 or 4 days and need to CHANGE the IP ADDRESS of the Grid Control Server.
The hostname will remain the same.Only the ip address will be changed.

On this server i have the oms10g,agent10g and db10g(repository) homes.

How will i have to proceed.

Will i will be able to get thru just by stoppin the OMS and the repository??

TIA,
J J

JJ,

I dont think we have to change anything at database or grid control level... as db requires hostname and in GC also *properties requires host name. Before changing we have to stop all the services and agents. And once IP's changed and just start the service... make sure if your tnsnames.ora or listener.ora has IP... chang it to hostname.

Regards,
Harsh
