Hi friends.

I am facing a problem in both 6i and 9i.

I have some fileds which are calculated items.
I have written some formula in its fomula property and its calculation type is Formula. This field is a database item.

Now the problem is that when i have data in all these fields and i am saving it,These calculated fields are not saved.
I am having null values in the table for this field.

I solved it by placing a non database item in the form and calculating to it and then asiigning this non database item to my actual database item in PRE-INSERT and PRE-UPDATE triggers.
It is working.

Is there any other simple way to solve this problem?
Why it is not saving this item?

Thnks in Advance.

Check in the button property Database Column=Yes and enter the column Name which is present in the table.

oops..

you cannot tag a calculated field as a database field.
It is always non db.

even if you set it to database proeprty yes and give the name of the table-column in the source.
