I am used to using the 9i version of OEM in a RAC enviroment and running a server version. I am in a new environment where there are about 8 single instance 10gr2 databases running on Sun Solaris.. I will like to install OEM on my windows workstation so I can monitor these databases.

Is this still possible?? where I don't have to create an oem database on the solaris server and connect to it from my workstation?? I read about some java version.. Can someone please help clarify things and give me some instructions?? Thanks you so much...

yOU cant do it without grid control.
Install grid control on the server from where you want to monitior the databases and install agents on all the servers which you wanna control through Grid control.
