Hi all,

i m facing problem to stop typing in text item which is also a database column. i m using oracle forms 6i. is their any property to stop typing in text item without change its type to Display item or Disable it.

If you look on the property pallete for that field - under database - you can set the insert allowed and update allowed fields to No - that should prevent the user typing in the field.
