Hi
This is basit, plz help me out to solve this! this a polite
request to you all! I have problem with SQL LOADER, let me
tell you the step i follow,

1: $sqlldr scott/tiger control=loader.ctl
Then a black window opens and disapears and nothing
happens.
2:i have a control file named LOADER.ctl, which is like this,

load data
infile 'c:\emp2.csv'
into table emp1
fields terminated by "," optionally enclosed by '"'
( comm, deptno, employee_id, ename, hiredate, job, mgr, sal )

3: But don't know where to place this file. plz kindly tell
where to place this control file? i mean which folder or
drive?

4: i have a file to be loaded in my table in database.
File is a MS EXCEL file and i have changed it into CSV
format. File name is EMP2.CSV

i had been try for 4 dayz but still not successful !
help me b'coz i m like this now :-<
i m waiting for you positive response.

visit http://tahiti.oracle.com & read the UTILITIES Manual on proper use of SQL*Loader utility.

I need to stop multiplexing or pay closer attention to what I am typing.

I believe you meant SQL*Loader utility, not Import. Right?
