Hi,

I have oracle 9i developer suite CDS. This is enough for making the application server?

Pls advice.

Of course not. Developer Suite <> Application server. Those are two completely different things.

Check the Oracle Software Download page to download the desired product (but I guess that you should first spend some time reading and better understanding what those products are/do).

Littlefoot is absolutely right. but i want to add something more.

U can use it as application server but to get it u would have to run ur OC4J everytime ok.

U cannot configure OID on that iDS computer it is just a limited Application Server to run and test the applications.

what is ur suggestion? I want to use my application. what is the best way to implement it in oracle 9i.

I am doing project which is a web based project on oracle database 9i and forms-reports 9i DS. I want to install the application server for running my developed application on the web.

So to install simple is that u have to download r get license of Oracle iAS....

iDS used to develop the applications.

Hi Samit,
before you just download any recent iAS from OTN have a good look at the iAS-packages Oracle offers.
The lastet iAS version (10.1.3.x.x) is NOT suited for running Forms (and Reports).
And because you probably have to install it with an infra structure check whether it can still be installed on a 9i database if you don't want an extra (10g) database as infra structure database.
