hmmm nice question.

U have iDS on a machine:

when u run ur form on that machine it will run as

http://localhost:8888 (8888 is port number of iDS while WebCache running. ok

http://localhost:8889 (8889 is port number of iDS and WebCache is not running)

Check and ok.

Now iAS is on same machine ok copy ur form in iAS home/forms90 then u can run it from

http://localhost:7778 (7778 webcache is running)
http://localhost:7779 (7779 webcache is not running)

It must ask that It have to connect with the database with correct user credentials. U should provide it username and password and database alias with which u have to connect. ok

Dear Friend, U told first that u have iDS and iAS on same machine. right. and now u r saying that u have mentioned user credentials in formsweb.cfg but it is not connecting.

Dear friend u must have two formsweb.cfg on ur computer one for iDS and one for iAS so u should check that in which u have mentioned user credentials. u have mentioned in one and u r running forms using other formsweb.cfg. so please check....

Please state again what s/w you have so we can break this tie.

If you get deserate, you could Read The Fine Manuals found at http://tahiti.oracle.com; especially the Installation Guide for which ever product you really do have.

>pls help immediately.
With advice, you can have it good, fast, or cheap. Pick an two.
