hi all i have installed oracle 8i in window xp home edition and
its working fine.but when i install d2k then i cant access my
database as well as not d2k.it shows no interface driver and when i access oracle 8i then it shows sp2 lang.msb file is not found. pls solve my problem asap.

Hi Puneet,
Don't raise your voice. People will see your problem only in their free time. Regarding your problem as ramesh has earlier said check your tnsname.ora is correct.
My suggestion to you is do not install both Oracle as weel as D2k in the same drive. if you install Oracle in D: then install D2K in D:.

First of all, installing Oracle 8i on MS Windows XP Home Edition isn't really a good idea se those products are not certified to work together properly. The most common type of problems is network - sometimes it works, sometimes not. You'd better install 10g (Express Edition, perhaps?) and Developer Suite 10g (Oracle 9i is going to be desupported later this year, if I'm not wrong).
Moreover, choosing XP Home Edition is a bad idea - no Oracle version is certified with this operating system (only its Professional version).
