Hi All,
1. Special characters like symbols can use multi character storage,in previous version(9i) 1 char requires 1 byte, but in 10G it requires multibyte to store 1 special character.

This is wrong.
1/ multi-bytes character sets existed before 9i
2/ special characters can be stored in 1 byte depending on the character and the character set
3/ nothing change in 10g
