query to extract lines from single header name [message #229869]

Hi Folks,
I am working on template.fmb.

can anyone tell me the logic to extract all the lines information for single header.

In my database there are many headers and many lines. For a single header, I have many lines.But each is displayed for each line in the databse.

The header should be displayed only once in the header, corresponding lines need to display in the lines form

Its very urgent.

I hope you need to create master - detail blocks.

Master for header
Detail for lines (It should be a multi-record block in this scenario).
I think this is what you want.

Hi Vamsi,

I am not looking for master-deatils.
Problem is that,form retrives header info more than once.

means if a site has 10 orders then site is displayed 1o times. Data is ok with lines

Number of Items Displayed property

Description
Specifies the number of item instances displayed for the item when the item is in a multi-record block. 
Setting Number of Items Displayed > 0 overrides the Number of Records Displayed block property. 

Applies to  item 

Default
Zero.  Zero indicates that the item should display the number of instances specified by the Number of Records Displayed block property.

Hope this helps you.
I assumed that you have a lines block, which is multi-record block. And you want to show the header_id only once and all other items as many they are.

Don't let others to assume something. Try to be specific about your requirement.
