LOV AND When validate item [message #229572]

Hi

I have a field and next to it I have a push button. When clicked on push button , a LOV is shoiwn which is related to that text field.

My problem is when I put the field 'Required' Yes .. I am not able to click on the push button to show the LOV , until I don't input something in the text item.

So I removed the Required property , since it is a mandatory field I want the user to input something , so On when-validate-item i have written codes , if text field not null then alert , but my problem remains the same , I am not able to click on push button to show LOV ...

Any idea ..

What are the properties (Keyboard Navigable and Mouse Navigate) of the push button?

What happens if you set the field required but the "mouse navigate" property of the button FALSE? This comes from memory, so I didn't check but you also might want to check the navigable property of the button too.
