Dear All,
I installed ORACLE & DB Solo in my Same PC.

Now, I can't established connection with ORCL.

In DB Solo Help, It is mentioning

Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection. The host name, IP address or port is not correct or Oracle is not running on that server.

host name-localhost

Port - ????

Oracle running.


Anybody can show me right solution.

How did you check Oracle is running?
Does the listener running?
Default port number is the one you gave during Oracle installation (usually 1521).

I connect in ORACLE as System/manager successfully and dbstart sysmbol has shown in the bottom of my screen.

How can I Start my listener???

Could u pls show me right solution.

Hi,
First go to command prompt.
and give below command.
on Windows >>>> c:\>lsnrctl start
on Unix >>>>> $ lsnrctl start

After Starting Listener Its showing following ERROR

LSNRCTL> start

TCP/IP Protocol has configured in my Network Adapter.

Are you telling us you're trying to have an Oracle server on Windows 95.
No chance.
Oracle only works on NT family and even more on Professional Edition.
