Hi,

I installed oracle 8i on windows XP. When I first installed it ran correctly. But when I rebooted the system, it gave me the error "Oracle not found". So I went into the Services and tried to start the oracleservice. But the system given me the error, "Could not start the OracleServiceORACLE service on Local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".

Can you please help.

Hi,
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion".

You should try after few minutes.
