To check archieve process are successfully running [message #227092]

Hi DBAs,

i need to check all archive process in the database is successfully running or not, as ia am getting following error message in the alert.log file :-

ARC1: Unable to archive log 3 thread 1 sequence 30008
Log actively being archived by another process

is it mean that process of archiving is doing by some other archive process not ARC1 ? if so how to chek wheather is it stopped.

Your archive process is running, that's why see those messages in the alert log.

Those messages are typical when you have multiple ARCH processes running.
