My problem is that I delete some files "archivelogs"
Now I have the database without "archivelog"
When I put the database in "Archivelog" it does not work correctly so then the users can neither modify information nor insert.
What I can do??

Oracle 8.1.7 with windows

HI,

My problem is that I delete some files "archivelogs"

You should take database backup.

When I put the database in "Archivelog" it does not work correctly so then the users can neither modify information nor insert.

Are you just delete archive log files or disable archive log mode what you did exactly ?

or
are you check your alert<sid>.log files.

you can also post few last lines from alert<sid>.log files.

Taj

You probably haven't enabled automatic archiving. Check Enabling Automatic Archiving.

I do not have copies of the database previous to the disaster, nowadays I have copies of the files of the databse but not the logs

What has happened to us is that we have delete the files, then it has started trumping the database and in order that it works we have had to deactivate the "archivelog" mode, if we it activate fault.

The file " alert <sid> .log " I do not have it

I have >sid>alrt.log and one error is
"Tue Mar 20 05:19:20 2007
ARC0: Beginning to archive log# 1 seq# 116077
kcrrga: Warning. Log sequence in archive filename wrapped
to fix length as indicated by %S in LOG_ARCHIVE_FORMAT.
Old log archive with same name might be overwritten.
ARC0: Error 19504 creating archivelog file 'C:\ORACLE\ORA81\RDBMS\ARC16077.001'
ARC0: Archiving not possible: error count exceeded
ARC0: Failed to archive log# 1 seq# 116077
"

Thank you
