Init Parameters to be set for Oracle 10g R2 [message #225634]

Hello ,

I would like to know what are the basic initialzation parameters that are to be set , while installing Oracle 10g R2.

There are so many parameters , so I was confused like what would be basic parameters I should I use intially.

Well, I should say "use dbca to create your db and don't care about initialization parameters, just answer the questions asked by the assistant".

This file is provided by Oracle Corporation to help you customize
# your RDBMS installation for your site. Important system parameters
# are discussed, and example settings given.

YOu can check initsmpl.ora file for basic overview about init parameters.

located >>>C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\Db_1\admin\sample\pfile
